Tom Hanks “Toddlers & Tiaras”

One of the best skits I’ve seen on TV in awhile. Tom Hanks is the man.

Tahoe Snowboard Magazine

About two years ago, the idea came about to start Tahoe Snowboard Magazine. I was living in Tahoe at the time and after seeing my friend Jesse Brown’s Jackson Hole Snowboarder Magazine, I realized how crazy it was Tahoe (being a way larger area in comparison) didn’t have a magazine like it. With an incredible amount of help from my friend and photog IJ Valenzuela we assembled a team and got the mag together (somehow, I’m still trying to figure out how we did it). Anyway, the site is finally live. www.tahoesnowboardmag.com. Right now it is just our first issue as a flip book, but check it out. We are planning on doing another issue the beginning of next season, and hitting the web full throttle this fall. Stay tuned. —TS

Joan Jett and The Runaways

I finally watched the whole movie The Runaways last night with Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart, based on the true story on the all-girls teen rock band in the 70′s. The music, the acting and the story is pretty amazing. What’s even more amazing is Joan Jett herself, who had her goal in sight to be a rock-n-roll star as a young teen and make it happen. Although The Runaways were short-lived so to speak, Jett has become a rock goddess with her hits “I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll”, “I Hate Myself For Loving You” and “Crimson and Clover.” This one’s for you Joan. You are a bad ass. —TS
