Day 24 of Christmas Awesome: Christmas Eve with Mom!

After a crazy Thursday night, it was time for a relaxing and much needed Friday…which also just happened to be Christmas eve! My Mom got into town in the afternoon and we hit the streets of Denver. The weather was perfect, with temps in the 40′s and sunny skies. We ate at a little diner spot then headed to the grocery store for some Christmas supplies. We ended up spending the same amount on food as we did on alcohol. Standard. After a nap, we made our way down to Larimer Square in Lower Downtown (LoDo), and ate at Corridor 44, the only champagne bar in Denver. If you keep up with my blog, you’d know that I talk and go to this place a lot, but I had never eaten dinner there. The food was super good and I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a spot in Denver.

After a lovely meal, we cruised around by the Capitol Building to check out the lights and Santa’s sleigh on the roof. There were tons of families and kids down there and it was fun to see everyone in the holiday spirit! For the rest of the evening, we relaxed at my house, drank wine, ate cookies and watched The Holiday. It was an all-time Christmas eve. I can’t believe the 25 Days is almost over. Get ready for some true Awesomeness for the last day tomorrow! —TS
